I love reusing the same page for different purposes. Here’s a few ideas:

Play Dough Mat – Laminate the page and use as a playdough mat. Encourage your children to make dough ornaments and decorate the tree with play dough.

Lacing Activity – Print on cardstock and cut out the tree. Punch holes into the Christmas tree and have the children lace a string through the holes. This builds fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Quiet Time Activity – Print on Cardstock and provide items to decorate the tree as a centers play based activity. A few ideas for decorations include: pipe cleaners, buttons, beans, macaroni, string, pom poms, etc. You can provide new items each day to keep the activity fresh and feeling new.

The Black and White Christmas Tree – More Christmas Activities

I created a black and white version for those who might be printing out lots of copies for a classroom. This copy simply needs to be colored before adding the decoration elements like string, buttons, candy, etc.

Dry Erase ActivityLaminate this page and allow your child to color it with dry erase markers.

Connect the Dots – Add numbers and dots to the page to create a one of a kind dot to dot page for your child. Bonus, if you add the dots and numbers before you laminate the page, they will be able to do the dot to dot activity again and again.
