How to make Paper Cookies

First, to make these simple Paper Cookies, provide your child with some brown construction paper, kid safe scissors and a glue stick.

Depending on their age, it can be helpful to show them what their cookies can look like by creating one as an example.

scissors with brown circles for cookie bases

We cut circles out of tan brown paper.

Then we chose our icing to be pink colored paper.  We cut a squiggly cloud shape to go on as the icing.

Then we simply glued the two pieces of paper together.

It’s so simple and kids can go wild with their creativity.

Some of my kids made cookies with sprinkles! Aren’t they cute!

My chocolate chip cookie lovers made sure there was some chocolatey goodness as well!

They made chocolate chip cookies with dark brown chips on a tan colored cookie base.

Skin toned construction paper is really great for this project if you are having trouble finding realistic colors.

My kids liked displaying their cookies on a paper plate.  You could glue them to the plate if you wanted, but we left them unglued so that my kids could play do some pretend play with them.

What fun!  I hope your children enjoy this super simple activity.
