How to make a S’mores Paper Craft
First, you will need to print out the free S’mores template onto white copy paper.
Next provide your child with crayons.
Have them color the graham crackers light brown and the chocolate square dark brown.
My kids drew dots and lines to make the graham crackers look more realistic.
They also might like to color both sides.
Once they have finished coloring, it’s time to cut!
Have your child cut out all 3 large squares. So, they will need to cut out the 2 graham crackers squares as well as the chocolate square.
Next, layer the top graham cracker on top of the chocolate. Glue it together using a bit of glue.
Then glue several cotton balls to represent the marshmallows to the other graham cracker.
You might like to pull the cotton balls apart a little to save on cotton balls and make it a little more fluffy.
Last, you will glue the two pieces of the s’more together. So your layers from the bottom will be graham cracker, marshmallow, chocolate, and then graham cracker.
And….it’s finished!
My kids were so excited to show off their s’more crafts.
These are the perfect addition to your camping pretend play!
This adorable paper plate craft also works for the letter S, a camping unit, a camping themed classroom, or a fun idea for a rainy day.
I hope your kids enjoy it as much as mine did!
Optional S’mores Craft Ideas
Here’s a few alternate ideas for these yummy s’mores crafts! It’s nice to have more options when you are lacking certain items or wanting to use up something in your craft stash.
You could:
Use tissue paper instead of the cotton balls to represent the marshmallows.
Swap out cardboard for the crackers to make a more durable version for little campers to play with.
Pom poms could be used instead of cotton balls for this sweet treat.
Pieces could be traced onto construction paper as an easy way for toddlers to create these fun treats.
Brown craft foam could be used instead of paper for the chocolate bars for this fun craft.
