These cute baby chicks are perfect for an Easter chick craft or a great addition to a spring time farm unit.
The easy outlines simplify the craft and make it simple for younger children to cut out.

Supplies needed for Paper Chick

For this cute chick craft you will need the following craft supplies:
– Free Chick Template (You can find it after the tutorial)
– Crayons – We love these Crayola Crayons!
– Child Safe Scissors – we love these Fiskars Blunt-Tip Scissors
– Paper Fasteners (brads)
How to Make an Easy Paper Chick Craft
First, print out the free template for the Easter on white paper. Provide your child with crayons to color the chick and the legs and wing.
We colored our chick’s body and wing bright yellow. Then, we colored the beak and chick’s legs orange.
Your child is welcome to use a different color or make detailed patterned on the chick if they wish
Next, with child safe scissors, have your child cut out the chick’s body, the legs, and the wing.
Help your child use a paper fastener to attach the wing to the chick.
If you like, you can also use paper fasteners for the legs as well to make them moveable. Or, you can have your child glue the legs to the bottom of the chick like we did.
I found that the chick’s legs are a little more fragile, so little ones might prefer that they were fixed in place so that they don’t rip as they move them.
