Looking for a fun Saint Patrick’s Day activity for kids? Here’s 3 free St. Patrick’s Day Color By Number Worksheets!
St. Patrick’s Day was always so much fun when I taught preschool. Each year, we would set up a leprechaun trap the day before St. Patrick’s Day. The kids would help us decorate a box with a stick holding it up to “trap a leprechaun.”
On St. Patrick’s Day, when the kids arrived, they would discover glitter all around the trap with plenty of gold coins. It was cute to see their reactions.
Then of course, later in the morning…the kids were always surprised to find that the leprechaun had turned their milk green. So much fun!
With St. Patrick’s Day quickly approaching, I created these color by number pages as a fun activity to help little ones with number recognition.
These coloring pages are a fun way for young children to practice their color recognition, color sight words, and fine motor skills.
If you have non-readers, you can highlight each of the color words in the correct color to help them enjoy this St. Patrick’s Day color by number as well!
We used crayons with these printable St. Patrick’s Day color by number worksheets, but you could also use colored pencils or markers.
Kids might also enjoy using watercolor paints with these activity sheets.
I hope you find these helpful for your preschool and kindergarten age kids.
(Kids who are in first or second grades might enjoy them as well!)
