With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner (March 17th!), we are all about leprechauns, rainbows, pots of gold, and the luck of the Irish around here!
When I taught preschool, we would set up a leprechaun trap the day before. The kids were giddy with anticipation over the thought of catching a leprechaun!
When the kids arrived to school on St. Patty’s day, they would see a trail of gold glitter leading to the leprechaun trap. With glee, they would discover chocolate gold coins and that the tricky leprechaun had gotten away (yet again!) ….but he had been silly and had dyed their breakfast milk green. LOL
It was always such a joy to see the looks of amazement and marvel on the kids’ faces! So much fun!

This first St. Patrick’s Day coloring page features a leprechaun with a pot of gold coins. He is wearing one of those awesome top hats with a buckle that are iconic for leprechauns and there’s a four-leaf clover next to the bubble letters that read “Luck of the Irish!”
I love that the coins in the pot have shamrocks on them.

Fun St. Patrick’s Day Coloring Pages
Next up, is my personal favorite! This Free St. Patrick’s Day coloring page features a 4 leaf clover, a horse shoe, a shamrock, gold coins, a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, and a leprechaun.
Each fun St. Patrick’s Day item is labeled to increase vocabulary skills. Kids will enjoy making colorful rainbows and coloring that jovial leprechaun!
This is a fun way to teach older kids the color order of the rainbow and to call attention to the difference between a shamrock and a four-leaf clover.

Leprechaun’s Hat – Free Printable St. Patrick’s Day Coloring Pages
This last free printable St. Patrick’s Day coloring sheet features a leprechaun’s hat with the bubble letters “Happy St. Patrick’s Day.”
There’s 4-leaf clovers to color as well! This is an easy coloring page for young kids as the picture is fairly simple. You might even consider painting this page! I like to do water color paints with my little ones as they aren’t too messy and easy to use. If you are feeling adventurous and ready for some sensory play, you could use these fun colouring pages for finger painting!
