– Crayons – we love Crayola brand!
– Scissors – we recommend blunt tip scissors by Fiskars
– Tape
How to Make an Easy Snake Craft
First, download the free snake template and print it out on white paper. Provide your child with crayons to color the snake.
We colored ours with black and two shades of green.
Your child can use any color they like on the snake’s body.
If they want to make a realistic snake, it might be helpful to provide pictures of snakes. Kids can see what color different types of snakes are and what kinds of patterns a snake can have on it’s back.
They might like to make a jungle carpet python, a green tree python, or a timber rattlesnake.
But let those imaginations run wild! A rainbow colored snake can be fun too.
Once the snake has been colored, it’s time to cut!
Provide your child with child safe scissors. Have them cut on the solid lines around and around until they have created the spiral snake.
