How to Make an Easy Pumpkin Pie Craft
First, we are going to make the Pumpkin Pie Craft!
Provide your children with a brown crayon and a mini paper plate.
Have your kids color the outer rim of the paper.
This will be the pie crust!
Next we are going to make some puffy paint.
Mix equal parts shaving cream with white school glue.
Then add your orange paint to make it colorful!
Have kids paint the middle of the pie to represent the orange pumpkin pie filling.
And finally, give them a cotton ball to glue to the top of the pie to act as the whipped cream.
What a cute paper plate pumpkin pie!!
And when it dries, the paint will have a cool fluffy texture.
What fun!
Easy Cherry Pie Craft
Next we are going to make the cherry pie.
This one is a little more work because it has a classic lattice pie crust, but it’s still pretty simple.
First, have your kids color the outer rim of the pie crust brown.
Then it’s time to mix the puffy paint.
Mix equal parts shaving cream with white school glue and then add red paint this time to make it look like cherries!
Have kids add the red puffy paint to the middle of their pie.
This will need some time to dry. (We waited a full day to allow it to dry).
Once it is completely dry, it’s time to add the lattice top crust.
Using zigzag scissors, have your kids cut strips of brown construction paper.
You could alternatively use regular scissors if you don’t have zigzag ones.
I think the zigzag scissors add a fun flair to the project.
Last, glue the brown paper crust on by layering the strips over each other.
And….it’s finished! What a cute little pie craft!
Blueberry Pie Craft for Kids
The Blueberry Pie Craft is almost exactly like the cherry pie.
Simply color the outer rim of a mini paper plate brown.
Mix equal parts shaving cream with glue.
Add blue paint to create blue puffy paint.
Have kids paint the middle of the pie with the puffy paint. Let dry. (We waited 24 hours).
Cut strips of brown paper with zigzag scissors.
Layer the brown strips and glue them to create a fun lattice crust.
Similarly you can create basically any kind of paper plate pie craft by simply swapping the color of the paint and making the crust look as close as it can to the real thing.
Get creative and see if you can create your favorite pie flavor! Happy Pie Making!
