Let’s get started on this easy turtle craft!
How to Make a Preschool Paper Turtle Craft
First, print out the turtle craft template from the Resource Library (free to my email subscribers! If you haven’t joined yet my email list yet, there’s a box to join below this tutorial!)
Next, it’s time to color! Provide your child with crayons or colored pencils.
It’s always fun to see what color kids decide the turtle should be! Encourage them to use different colors for the shapes and background on the turtle’s shell.
Now, it’s time to cut.
Give your kids blunt tip child safe scissors and have them cut out all of the pieces of the turtle including the head, turtle’s body, tail, and 4 legs.
Once they have cut out all the pieces, help them attach the turtle’s head and tail to the body either with a brad or with glue.
Next, add the legs to the body with brads to make them moveable. Then take the 2nd brad and use it to attach the tail to turtle’s body.
And…. you’re finished! Such a easy fun craft!
I hope this adorable turtle craft makes a great addition to your fun ocean crafts, pond theme, or summer break activities.
