If you like, you can substitute Gluten Free Cream of Mushroom Soup for the Gluten free Cream of Chicken Soup.
Also, Diced Hash Brown Potatoes can be substituted for the Shredded Hashbrowns.
Some people like to top this cheesy potato bake with green onions or add a crunchy topping during the last 5 minutes of the bake time like crunched potato chips or corn flake crumbles.
How do I make enough for a crowd?
This cheesy hashbrown casserole is perfect for serving large numbers of people. Meaning, it’s great for family gatherings or times when you want comfort food for funeral luncheons.
I recently made 6 pans of these cheesy potatoes for a funeral lunch. Naturally your bake time will increase with that much food in the oven, but it’s doable!
Always make sure your pans fit in the oven before you load them up full of casseroles.
I used deep casserole dish size disposable foil pans. 6 pans fit in my oven at a time. I believe I made the recipe 8 times and distributed it between the 6 pans.
My bake time for 6 casseroles was 3 1/2 hours to 4 hours at 350 degrees.
Be sure to allow plenty of extra time for multiple casseroles to bake. You’ll be surprised at how long it takes for the food to heat up when the oven is so full.
