This Printable Bear Hat for kids is perfect for classroom use. Just copy the black and white template and have kids color their own bear hat, cut it out and put it together.

It’s such an easy preschool craft! I love that it’s a simple, low prep, and low mess activity.

Supplies to Make the Preschool Bear Ear Hats

For this easy Bear hat craft you will need:

– A printed copy of the teddy bear hat printable (you can find the form at the end of the article)

– Cardstock – I recommend printing on card stock for durability, but copy paper works too.

– Crayons

– Scissors (we love the Fiskars brand of kid safe scissors)

– A Stapler

How to Make an Bear Ear Hat Headband – Preschool Bear hats

First, print out your copy of the Bear Hat template printable. I recommend printing on cardstock to make it more sturdy, but regular paper will work as well.

Next, provide your child with crayons to color the bear ear hat. You might like to encourage them to use bear colors.

We used brown on the strips and outer ear and then colored the inner ear pink.

Next, it’s time to cut! Kids will need to cut out the rectangular strips as well as the bear ear portion.

Many preschoolers will be able to cut out this bear hat by themselves, but if you have younger children, they may need some assistance.

After all of the pieces of the easy bear craft hat have been cut out, have an adult help kids assemble the hats. We used a stapler to attach the strips of paper to the Bear ear template.

Lastly, adjust the headband to fit each child’s head. Then snip off the excess paper.

Now, the Bear ear hat is ready to wear. Kids are sure to be proud of their homemade Bear hats!
